My life to date has been long, enjoyable and exciting. Certain cataclysmic changes and experiences broke my life into several distinct periods.

First Life

I was born in the small town of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. Grew up a little before moving to the smaller town of Edmonton. Musical talent became obvious at age 6. First expressed interest in Hacking at age 7. Also started reading volumes of Collier’s Encyclopedia and National Geographic. First started causing trouble at school by exploring various ways to subvert authority. I had to learn that gray areas are not so gray to authority figures. Enjoyed building rockets and losing them.

Also heavily interested in fire and water. If I wasn’t playing with one, then it was the other. Most preferred it when I played with water…

Second Life

After a couple years, I moved to Ontario. I was 10, now living in the country, I managed to stay out of City troubles. Gained new friends, experience my first bullies. Main interests still focused on science, maths and logic. Heavily interested in electronics and aviation. Built several simple electronic devices, started building a radio controlled aircraft… from scratch. Major interest in flight expressed, started taking pilot lessons. A lack of maturity, dedication and motivation resulted in a lack of interest, so I stopped going.

Third Life

Highschool, and all it’s troubles. Other people finally started having an impact on me and my decisions, but this was mostly negligible. First real experience with a personal computer. Mastered DOS & Windows 98 as well as Visual Basic in a matter of months. Moved on to Assembly and hardware interfacing. Phone systems, security and anti-forensics came naturally. Within 1.5 years I had a fearful reputation in some circles but tried to remain anonymous to most.

Raging hormones, depression and bullies nearly had me give up. The lowest point my life will ever know. A friend committed suicide the day before I planned to, so I had to put it off. Fortunately, I’m really good at procrastinating, sometimes never finishing anyth…
Then tragic stupidity claimed the lives of 3 out of 4 of my bullies. The remaining loser grew up I guess.

With highschool coming to a close, I applied to several colleges for various Computer type courses. Got accepted to all. Attended my first and only serious choice: Sir Sandford Fleming, studying Computer Security and Investigations.

After learning how to card doors, I picked up the “black art” of lock picking, fashioning my own tools out of springs, wire and various strips of metal. Simple mechanics cannot undermine curiosity.

Fourth Life

Moved to Peterborough, Ontario to attend Sir Sandford Fleming College. I finally met people serious about succeeding in life. Had a couple opinion-altering relationships, made a couple life-altering friends and consumed a couple mind-altering things; rounding out my rough and jagged character. Grew long hair, dyed it black, then blond, then purple. Decided my natural color looked best.

Really advanced my skills in picking locks, hacking, data mining, forensics and other “questionable” things. Hey, I’m a curious fellow and I had lots of free time. Unlike most skills; the “questionable” ones are always in demand, way more impressive, and actually fun. So I became the goto guy for these services.

Three years and all my money later, I get a phone call from Edmonton. Seems there’s a job opening and I’m a potential candidate. Before I could even finish tying up the loose ends of my college education, I jump on the next flight out.

Fifth Life

Arrived in Edmonton and was driven to an empty safe-house. Met my uncle and went to work the next day.

Joined Toastmasters on a whim, figuring it would be an easy and effective way to build my speaking skills. Wrote my first speech after two weeks, which was a pretty good success. At the 4th meeting, I became the elected Vice President of Education for my club. So far so good :)

On a trip into Edmonton I saw somebody para-gliding. So I did a little detour and visited the airport to sign up for flying school. Yes, I still live to fly.
