Geocaching

I was stalking a friend on facebook and saw photos describing her “geocaching” adventures. Whatever that is… So naturally I googled and an hour later I was walking around Camrose glued to my Blackberry finding my way to a dot. Eventually I was under some trees digging in the duff and there it was.. the little sandwich container!

Eventually I was under some trees digging in the duff and there it was.. the little sandwich container!

It had all kinds of goodies in it, and a logbook. So I took my photos and filled out the logbook.

And now I know what Geocaching is: It’s treasure hunting, for nerds. You can’t deny that this is incredibly geeky, yet somehow not as bad as playing some video games. This makes you hike all over the place all day long! It’s awesome!

This was invented 8 years ago and I never heard about it until yesterday! This is the perfect thing for me because I’m single, adventurous, a little out-doorsy, persistent… You need stealth, because you don’t want non-geocachers to know what you’re doing otherwise they’ll probably destroy the game. You can do it alone! It’s probably more fun with another person but I had to test it out alone first.

I would 100% reccomend this activity to all friends.
